LYCS – Community Employment (CE) Supervisor – Dublin

Established in 1984, LYCS is an integrated community based education, training and development project which is concerned with giving participants the opportunity to become involved in their own development and the development of their community. LYCS operates the following programmes: Childcare, Community Training Centre, Youth Programme, Adult
Education Programme, Development Education and a CE Scheme.
LYCS’s CE Scheme currently provides work placements for 35 long-term unemployed people. We also facilitate accredited training & educational programmes to support their progression to employment and/or further education.
Your role will be to lead a team of staff and ensure the effective and efficient direction of the human, financial and material resources of the CE Programme. Central to the role is the ongoing recruitment, provision of training and overall responsibility for the Scheme.
You will work within a Management Team to help to devise, implement and review priorities guided by LYCS strategy and plans which you will be responsible for producing and achieving. Previous management experience essential.

Work experience/Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years previous direct management experience in administration, project management, education/training or other relevant position.
Major 3rd level qualification (NFQ Level 6 or higher) in Business/Financial Administration, Training, Human Resources, Project Management or related disciplines. Minor/component awards at Level 6 or higher are insufficient.
ICT skills are also essential (e.g. MS Office).
