Program Communication Manager – Yayasan Plan International Indonesia

Program Communication Manager will be responsible to develop a clear program/ projects communications strategy in supporting Plan International Indonesia Program. to ensure visibility of the organization as a leading child rights organization in the country, to provide technical support to organize/arrange advocacy and campaign initiatives at local level. S/he also will be responsible in making Sponsorship Communication Stronger by following donor and Plan guidelines and develop key promotional messages in consultation with the program team. This position also will maintain good relationship with government so that children voice are heard by the leaders.

Responsibilities:
Key Ends Results Area (KERA) 1 : Develop a clear programs/ projects communications strategy Indicators for success: Write, revise, and implement up‐to‐date Program Communications Strategy for Country Office, in line with the new Global Strategy, ensuring the added value to country operations and program, advocacy, campaign, fundraising, and public relations plans and initiatives. Conceptualize, internalize and implement credible and differentiating brand that will unify our organization. Ensure country portfolio and visibility is high compare to the similar organization. Plan International Indonesia has a sound communication plans in place that help highlight Plan International’s work with children and girls’ rights and programs and influencing priorities, and that subsequent campaigns have quality communication support in place that support campaign goals and results. Provides leadership on training, learning and development for all communications personnel at CO, Divisional Office and Project Offices including partner organizations related communications on programs/ projects.

Key Ends Results Area (KERA) 2 : Support to Plan International Indonesia Programmes to ensure visibility of the organization as a leading child rights organization in the country: Indicators for success: In collaboration with the programs team and CMT develop agreed advocacy messages. Lead the delivery of innovative and outcomes-focused strategic communication support to programs team for Advocacy and PR issues on the thematic areas including major grants funded projects; Ensure development of annual plan with detail communications support (products, events, media etc.) to programs and projects and implementation of the same. Take part in the project/proposal development phase and provide inputs from communications perspective that ensure increased visibility of Plan and its approach and in alignment of country and global communication strategy. Ensure technical support to all popgrammes/projects divisions in PU on all the communication request.
Key Ends Results Area (KERA) 3 : Provide support to organize/arrange advocacy and campaign initiatives (BIAAG, IDG, national children day, etc) at local level. Indicators for success: Provide support to plan, implement national level advocacy and campaign initiative to visible Plan International Indonesia to the different stake holder. Develop effective promotional materials for national level advocacy and campaign. Keep close relationship with the government counterparts including ministry of home affairs, Ministry of Social Welfare also Ministry of Women and Children affairs so that children voice are heard by the leaders. Implementing global and ensure that Global Campaigns are well understood and observed by country office. Head quarter, NO and Regional directions and expectations are well met Country people understand and participate into the campaign. Create vibration among the young people and the community so that campaign becomes programmatically successful.
Key Ends Results Area (KERA) 4 : Making Sponsorship Communication Stronger Indicators for success: Conceptualize and support to make creative heart touching communication packages for sponsors. Provide technical assistance to support quality communication deliverables to NOs as requested. Conceptualize and support the overall Phase in Phase process to have quality baseline and end line communication package is available for region as well as NOs.

Requirements:
Minimum 5-7 years professional experience in program communications. Excellent communications and presentations skills as well as exceptional writing and editing skills. Superior project management skills. Online media and Internet marketing experience. Experience in graphic design, and social media. Knowledge of the print production process and supplier negotiations is desirable. Excellent time management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Ability to travel national or overseas up to 90 days annually, sometimes at short notice
Knowledge and Skill: Good understanding about program communication concept and practices. Good presentation and communication skill. Good networking with relevant institutions. Good interpersonal skill and team work . Understand about human right and child right. Good computer skill and Writing skills in English. Proven working experience with the community, government, private sector. Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality. Strong communication skills.
