Director, Indonesia and Malaysia Region
Are you enthusiastic about growing our business in Indonesia and Malaysia Region?
We are looking for an experienced business leader who has a proven track record from Paper, Pulp & Energy industry to head our business and operations in Indonesia and Malaysia. The role includes an overall P&L responsibility, strategic business planning, operations, key account management and legal compliance in this region.
In this role you will be responsible for the management and development of both our stable and capital business to increase revenue and our market share in accordance with Valmet and Asia Pacific strategy and Must-Wins. Your target is to enable and drive our business growth and develop our local organization.
In this position, you will report to the Area President, Asia Pacific and will also be a member of Valmet Asia Pacific Management team. This position will be located in Indonesia.

Managing and being accountable for running Valmet´s business in Indonesia and Malaysia with P&L responsibility in accordance of our vision, mission, values and Code of Conduct
Developing, aligning and executing the strategy for Indonesia and Malaysia based on customer needs, Valmet and Asia Pacific strategy and Must-Wins
Leading and growing both capital and service business sales and account management according to business needs
Ensuring that Valmet’s core commitments to our customers are fulfilled in Indonesia and Malaysia
Leading and developing the local organization and setting the performance management objectives
Leading and being responsible for communicating and executing the strategy with the local organization and relevant stakeholders
Ensure legal compliance of company operation in the region
Ensuring best practices in QHSE implemented in operation in Indonesia and Malaysia
To succeed in this role, you will need:
M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Engineering-related science or paper making
A minimum of 5 years of business management experience in a related field and in a position with profit and loss responsibility
Good understanding of different Valmet businesses and market environment in Indonesia and Malaysia
Financial acumen with analytical skills and commercial business mindset
Proven ability to create profitable initiatives and solutions, including achieving results in high pressure situations
Successful track record of leadership with an ability to build, inspire and lead teams to achieve goals in a matrix organization
Knowledge of key cultural differences and ability to adapt communication style accordingly
Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English
Willingness and ability to travel
