Description
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of procurement specialists in Indonesia.
Responsible for negotiating, managing and coordinating any Indirect materials and services’ purchases and/or agreements with external suppliers e.g. Corporate Services, IT, MRO, CAPEX, etc.
Procurement focal point/liaison for country or business leadership in Indonesia.
Source, develop, evaluate and select suppliers in terms of quality, service, cost and capability (total cost of ownership).
Accountable and responsible for country compliance with procurement policies, strategies, and meeting business objectives.
Ensure competitive total cost versus industry trends and market place dynamics.
Resolves quality, service, and supply issues with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Identifies and drives continuous improvement in the supplier relationship management, category management and client engagement.
Oversees contract implementation and supplier performance/interaction.
Prepares periodic reports including monitoring of metrics for management review.
May assist in the development of procurement strategies in conjunction with the Global Sourcing Leadership, Businesses or Commodity directions for a region or specific area of spend.
Responsible for team member’s personal development and growth in procurement organization.
Support other procurement activities as directed by management.
Qualifications
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in business, Industrial/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related discipline.
Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience in procurement with managerial position, knowledge on Corporate Services, IT, MRO and CAPEX procurement will be an added advantage.
Working experience in global multinational company will be an added advantage.
Resourceful and possess excellent network with suppliers in Indonesia and within ASEAN and/or Asia Pacific region.
Excellent leadership, inter-personal, negotiation, analytical, communication and time-management skills.
Team leader, self-starter, self-driven, highly motivated, strive for excellence, hands-on with attention to details on both the processes and results, able to work under minimum supervision.
Ability to work effectively in a cross functional environment.
Ability to resolve conflict and deliver required results.
Ability to communicate well in English, in both verbal and written communication.
Exhibits high business ethics and principle-based behavior.
