STEP Oiltools, working with its partners and other specialty supplier; has develop a package of equipment and services which ensure drill cutting and fluids can be effectively contained, handled, treated and disposed with minimal environmental impact.
In line with business needs, we ae looking for a result oriented colleague to play an integral role in leading our workshop facility in Batam, Indonesia.
WORKSHOP MANAGER (based in BATAM)
Job Summary
The Workshop Manager shall be fully in-charge of the management of the fabrication facility in terms of coordinating facilities, manpower, vendors/service providers, tools and equipment, parts support and quality orientation services to internal and external customers.
Job Responsibility
Workshop Management
Provide technical leadership to the start-up, set-up and eventual maintenance and repair services of a workshop
Responsible for the overall Quality Assurance and Quality Control of the facility inclusive of conducting required quality audits
Develop and/or assist in the development of required site-specific processes/work instructions in accordance with the Company’s management system
Responsible and accountable for the inventory and movement of equipment, machinery, assets, spare parts and fixtures contracted or owned by the Company
Ensure a secure, safe and efficient workshop and facility by putting in place Company’s HSE policies, procedures and practise
Vendor Management
Develop and maintain a core team of approved vendors that are quality compliance by carrying out assessment, auditing and ongoing monitoring effort
Develop working relationship with local infrastructure suppliers
Develop good working relationship with landlord’s management relating to lease agreement
Oversee equipment supply chain requirement applicable to Batam’s regulations
Hiring and personnel development
Maintain and be accountable for petty cash / imprest account according to Company’s financial requirements
Ensure that business operations is conducted ethically and professionally without compromise
Candidates’ Profile
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related experiences
Minimum 5 years’ managerial experience in fabrication, workshop management and supervision
Knowledge of Integrated Management System (IMS), QA/QC applications and documentation would be highly advantageous
Ability to deal effectively with supplier and vendor facilities
Proficient in MS office and possess good competency in verbal and written English
Demonstrated capability to perform in a fast paced environment
Must be residing in Batam
