Job Description
This position works within the facilities engineering group with a
focus on building support systems. Position has full technical
responsibility for interpreting, planning, organizing, executing,
coordinating, and tracking progress of assignments. Plans and directs
engineering projects concerned with manufacturing processes and
equipment as well as facility support systems. This involves
exploration of subject area, definition of scope, and selection of
problems for investigation and development of novel concepts and
approaches. Maintains liaison with individuals and units within or
outside the organization and has responsibility for acting
independently on technical matters pertaining to their field.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
Plans, develops, coordinates, and directs engineering,
construction and maintenance projects or programs inside and
outside the company, including, but not limited to, concurrent
engineering.
Works closely with operations, process control, engineering and
manufacturing to provide coordination on new project introduction
and to support specific existing projects.
Plans, supervises, coordinates, and monitors the work of
subcontractors; estimates manpower need some; schedules and
assigns work to meet completion date.
Provides project budgets
Supervision, coordination, and directions relate largely to
overall objectives of the project or programs, meeting schedules,
critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters. Consults with
others concerning technical direction, unusual problems, and
proposals.
Provides project schedules, budgets, projections and proposals.
QUALFICATIONS
BS in a related field, or BS in an unrelated filed with a proven
record of project management experience and sustained positive
performance.
Must have extensive experience with CAD modeling software.
Demonstrated ability to work with maintenance personnel and or
other internal organizations developing equipment/processes and
activities in a concurrent team approach environment while holding
responsibility for the outcome of the project.
Progessive experience including project responsibility requiring
the direction of the efforts of several engineers.
Must show capability to maintain, or create and supervise a group
of engineers and technicians that are able to perform ina team
environment while personal accountable and individual growth is
encouraged.
Ideal candidate will have experience in some or all of the
following: HVAC systems, Voilers, Chillers Pressure Vessels, Vacum
Systems, Furnaces, Construction Management, and/or Project Management.
Position will be filled with the most qualified candidate one full
time or part time basis depending on the availability of the
candidate.
