Project Employee – Analyst – Navigant – Dallas, Texas

Responsibilities:
This is a contract-based role in Dallas, TX, and the project is anticipated to be six weeks in duration.
The responsibilities of the Analyst will include, but are not limited to:
Review, disposition and/or escalation of AML alerts and manual referrals
Investigate cases to identify and report suspicious activity, including SAR filing recommendation with an emphasis on:
Ensuring all relevant controls set out in the Client’s policies, procedures, and alert review protocols are appropriately and consistently applied;
Documenting the results of searches and analyses;
Communicating with the Client’s branches through a centralized communications group, as necessary;
Escalating alerts with potentially suspicious activity requiring further review to cases; and
Drafting SAR narratives for review and ultimate filing decision by Client
Prepare and document supporting documentation for alert and case dispositions, as well as SAR filing recommendations

Qualifications:
1-2+ years of experience in a financial services industry or regulatory environment
Currently Dallas area-based
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred
Skilled at transaction monitoring, alerts and investigations
Understanding of the legal, corporate governance, and regulatory BSA/AML environment
Effective oral and written communication skills
Solid Excel and analytical skills required
CAMS certification preferred, but not required

Mental/Physical Requirements:
Strong conceptual, as well as quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
Work as a member of a team as well as be a self-motivator with ability to work independently
Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment to coordinate work
Frequently travels by airplane, train or car as necessary to perform work at another location
Regularly uses close visual acuity and operates computer equipment to prepare and analyze and transmit data
Generally works in an office environment
