Analyst, BI Business Solutions – Bellagio – Las Vegas

The Analyst, BI Business Solutions is responsible for executing on the strategy of the team that builds and optimizes data visualization products that turn complex data into actionable insights. These products allow Company leadership to understand key information and easily interpret data-driven stories and enhance decision making. The Analyst supports the BI Business Solutions team in building MGMs self-service reporting environment and divisional integrated products with clearly defined roadmaps and project plans. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and MGM Resorts policies, practices and procedures.
Executes on requests in collaboration with team members to support self-service reporting including creating clearly defined roadmaps and project plans to develop holistic products that meet organizational needs
Reviews findings with and makes recommendations to senior team members
Manages, develops and maintains effective communication and excellent relationships with internal customers (including but not limited to business units, operations, and other corporate departments), ensuring their requirements are identified and consistently met
Collaborates with Business Intelligence-Data Services to prioritize insight and execution to establish the data requirements and prioritize key initiatives
Proactively learns the business across functional areas in preparation for future specialization
Consolidates property and functional area data to create a holistic MGM view
Develops prototypes to support leadership in data storytelling
Drives short release cycles for products
Assists Business Intelligence-Data Services if needed to create necessary data models
Works to deliver interactive dashboards and drill-through reporting that define data stories for the organization

Required
Bachelors degree in Data Visualization, BI Business Solutions, Business Management or related fields.
At least 1 year of experience in relevant subject area expertise (e.g., industry or function).
Excellent customer service skills.
Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.

Preferred
MBA or MS degree.
Previous experience working in a similar resort setting or hospitality industry.
