Job Description
Provides patient care, clerical and environmental control services in the physician outpatient practice according to established policies and procedures. Utilizes information to continuously improve patient care and practice to enhance outcomes. Communicates/collaborates with physicians and staff to provide coordinated, safe and compassionate care for patients. Participates in continuing education activities that enhance employee’s professional abilities and ensure up-to-date patient care.

Requirements
Experience:
New Medical Assistant graduate enrolled in Inova Medical Assistant Fellowship or 6 months equivalent experience

Education:
Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program with a diploma designation with consistent level of known leadership abilities and progressive education in the health care field.

Certification:
BLS, Certified as a Medical Assistant
Special Skills: Fluency in English and Spanish verbal and written communication skills mandatory Medical terminology, verbal and written communication skills, using a fax, copier, point-of-care testing abilities, scanner, and vaccination protocol
