Internal & External Communication Manager,
This position reports to Marketing & Communication Director and also has the coordination line with and Marketing Communication Manager and Program Communication Manager. The position has a functional relationship with all Project Managers (LLDT) of CO and Projects for developing effective communication plan, provide technical inputs to implement and monitor to deliver quality communication and advocacy outputs of country office projects. The person is responsible for ensuring the compliances of global brand identity in Plan International Indonesia communication materials and events are in line with global brand guideline and identity to promote Plan visibility. The person will responsible to feeding the information for social media (FaceBook, Yammer, YouTube, Twitter, Scribd etc) to communication department in country office to visible Plan International Indonesia to the local, national and global level. The person will responsible to produce high quality photos and stories of programme/ projects in CO and share with the internal resources to Plan International Indonesia staffs and share with communication manager in country office to be final reviewed.

Key Ends Results Area (KERA) 1 : Plan International Indonesia has an effective Internal and External Communications protocol and strategy that outlines what is covered and how Indicators for success: Development of approved policy with stakeholders (including other departments – ICT, HR&OD, Programme and others that lays out the areas to be covered, minimum standards and the style/content rules Clear strategy indicating the choices that have been made about what when and how to use internal and external comms. Communications resources from programmes and communities in Plan International Asia are well represented on Plan International’s channels. Ensure that Plan Global policy and declaration are well reached to all country office staffs. Information is well disseminated and country office aware about the changes. Implement our internal communications strategy and business plans to meet organisational objectives outlined in the Country Strategic IV Lead the process of Global Award nominations and packaging for Plan International Indonesia
Key Ends Results Area (KERA) 2 : Establish and maintain the compliances of global brand identity to promote organizational high visibility Indicators for success: All communication materials, publications, events from CO and PU level are reviewed in line with global brand guideline and the identity. Template, guidelines are in place to ensure the effective implementation of the brand across Plan offices and Project offices. Plan new staff is oriented on the basic global identity and CP in the line with communication. Provides regular or ad hoc timely and accurate reports to the CD/ED, CMT, RO or IH on communications specially branding related matters as required.
Key Ends Results Area (KERA) 3 : Plan International Indonesia is supported by an effective communications team at CO and at project Offices Indicators for success: Ensures all Comms staff members are effectively line managed through the setting of clear objectives that are aligned to overall strategy and that their performance is managed against them. Advises staff and managers on Comms related matters, providing and channelling technical support to ensure communications requirements are met at the program and project implementation at local and national level. Provides input into regional or global Comms projects as requested and is an effective team member of the Regional Comms. Terms of Reference (ToR) is prepared for the communication agencies, consultants, and vendors and comparative analysis (if required) done for vendor selection. Worked with the communication agencies and service providers to ensure quality services.
Key Ends Results Area (KERA) 4 : Enhancing Organisational visibility and profile Indicators for success: Strong relationships are developed with media outlets, journalists, and opinion makers in order to ensure that Plan International Indonesia’s voice and the voices of the communities that we work with are heard in the mainstream media. Ability to cultivate high‐value coverage with influential and respected media outlets in order to extend Plan International Indonesia’s reach, build Plan International’s reputation in the development sector in Indonesia, and expand public understanding of advocacy goals. Plan International Indonesia’s social media presence is regularly maintained and growth in reach is reflected through online engagement. Position Plan as an expert and credible voice Corporate Partnership as well as in the national media of Indonesia. Plan International’s country reports/publications are produced to high quality and adequately promoted to media, development peers and other internal and external audiences. Develop effective IEC/BCC (Print & Electronic) materials to attain programme objectives of Plan International Indonesia
Key Ends Results Area (KERA) 5 Communications in disaster response Indicators for success: Ensures that Plan Indonesia has a developed and approved communications strategy and protocols during disaster covering both internal and external communications requirement. Ensure that the ERT members and the DRM members have necessary communications equipments and necessary skills for maintaining and managing communications during disaster;
Requirements:
At least 3 years working experience in the communications field preferably in development organizations.
Minimum 5-7. Excellent communications and presentations skills as well as exceptional writing and editing skills. Online media and Internet communication experience. Experience in graphic design, and social media. Knowledge of the print production process and supplier negotiations is desirable. Excellent time management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Education: Bachelor Degree in Social Science or English but preferably in Mass Communication/ Journalism/Public Relations from a recognized University
Training: Training on general communication and publications. Training on media communication. Training on public relation. Training on professional writing and photography skill. Training on social media. Based at CO with around 35% travel to projects area in PU or the other location nearby PU
Knowledge and Skill: Good understanding about program communication concept and practices. Good presentation and communication skill. Good interpersonal skill and team work . Understand about human right and child right. Good computer skill and Writing skills in English. Proven working experience with the community, government, private sector. Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality. Strong communication skills. Strong English skills
